THE STORY
The Reference 16014 is the Datejust that carried the line into its modern form. Introduced in 1977, it was the first Datejust fitted with the Caliber 3035, the movement that brought quickset date.
This example carries a 5.7 million serial, placing it in the earlier production of the reference.
The linen dial is what we love about this example. The finely woven cross-hatch texture that catches light across the surface. It’s a quieter, more textural look, and one that reads distinctly vintage against later flat dials.
