THE STORY
We are lucky to present this awesome Heuer Autavia 3rd execution 2446 “Jochen Rindt”. Black dial, white registers, reverse panda, Valjoux 72 caliber, this is the reference Austrian F1 driver Jochen Rindt made famous and collectors drool over.
Our example dates to 1967 and is a third execution, batch 2, with a 89XXX serial. One can get lost in the Heuer forums discussing the variations but this basically means it has a more elegant, thinner bezel than prior generations, and slick beveled lugs (not thick and straight).
The condition is incredible. It’s extremely rare to see an example preserved so well.
